Re: AI Not building, sleeping or generally misbehaving?

Operating on Version 0.46 So I have this problem where after a certain length of time my colonists seem to get stuck in a loop, and will basically alternate from sleeping and eating, getting nothing done. The IMPs still work fine, however. Now I don't know if this is a bug or merely one of myriad of...

Aligning Rotating Objects

Believe it or not the current system of rotating objects seems a little to sensitive and freeform for me. I'm a very picky person when it comes to these things, so having everything out of alignment actually really bothers me. (Even if it's just slight.) Is there plans to say, lock the rotation to f...

Re: Chicken tonight?

Please tell me it at least scales to room size.

BTW, what are we feeding those chickens anyway? Air?

Re: Different doors?

There would be space issues there too right? I mean an airlock is going to take up more space than a normal sliding door after all.

Re: Different doors?

I can see the appeal. But I can't much see the use from a gameplay perspective beyond pure ascetics.

Being able to build extra airlocks might be nice, or maybe emergency doors that you can weld shut in case you accidentally open up a can of shit on the other side.

Re: Storage room

So where do the perishable food items go? The kitchen? Or do you just eat it off the hoof so to speak.

Research and Technology

So, we've seen the research lab in the current alpha release. You've mentioned there is going to be a tech tree, and that fossils can be collected and used for research, as can presumably captured native life. (The dissection table can't just be for show.) But the question I want to ask, is how are ...

Re: Waste Dispolsal, Recycling, and Sanitation

Well, you know native vermin is an interesting concept. I know it's stated that native plant and animal life is inedible to humans (and presumably all earth based life.) The question is, would native vermin be a threat to a human colony. Presumably as humans could not eat their food, they could not ...

Re: Waste Dispolsal, Recycling, and Sanitation

Good point there about the rats. I was just going on the assumption that as rats need much the same thing as humans, dogs, and chickens, (all of which were obviously present on the colony ship.) that they simply snuck into the dark corners of the living areas and lasted on until the ship made planet...

Waste Dispolsal, Recycling, and Sanitation

Okay, so I know there's plenty of reasons we won't see anything to do with this implemented in the game. (Gameplay reasons, balancing reasons, censorship reasons, just too damn complicated etc.) But if you think about it, how a colony like Maia would dispose of its waste, would be an important thing...
