Other notes:
The plant spawned on the edge of the geothermal vent. I marked the plant for removal, but nobody would ever remove that plant. They took other nearby plants but not that one, since it appeared inaccessible because of the vent. The vent itself, however, was unusable since I couldn't place a generator because of the plant. Catch-22: the plant blocked the vent, but the vent blocked the plant.
