I've been spending a lot of time answering questions on Twitter, Reddit and other forum sites, but its nice to have something a little more central, permanent and searchable.

Great to have a central Forum for the project.
Any chance one of the forum admins could install the proDVGFX Style for this PHPBB3 forum.
with a few project centric icons and a Maia Banner I think it would look very complimentary for this project.
You would obviously keep the CA Orbital theme you have going as the default, but proDVGFX would make a nice alternative for some users.
