So the Mor space station now has it's own propulsion module, with a huge orange tank full of fuel.

Now I just need to decide what planet to put it in orbit around! :D

so, what do you guys make of the career options now? Also have any of you tried mechjeb?

Loving the science gathering, it makes multiple manned trips to other planets & back really rewarding :D

Well i have finally landed on the mun. Thanks, greatly, to mechjeb.

However i have not got enough science to have ladders yet.....so i will not be planting a flag yet :P

Your kerbal's should have enough jetpack fuel to get back upto the capsule from there,

worst comes to the worst, quicksave before trying it then you can quickload it back up if its not enough :D

Edit :- I have used mechjeb but I found it wasn't working so well in .21 so I've tried to ween myself off it.

it seems to of been optimized for .22 i was having real bad issues with it myself in .21

Sooo many batteries .... why!?

from the looks of it no solar panels (which are a complete git to get to in the science tree) and if you want to send data back by radio/antenna it takes a ton of power

I'd assumed he'd of been taking that back to Kerbin so could use the engine generated charge to send back the data? :p

It's needed with the R&D side of things for transmitting data back to command when in flight... transmitting data consumes daft amounts of power and some research data is larger than other and takes longer to transmit.

Even when you finally unlock a standard solar panel, you generally still can eat through 6 or 7 batteries at full capacity with just sending 3 reports all at once, and across a full mission you may want to send 3 or 4 reports all at once at the very least 5 times.... without solar panels you're looking at daft amounts of batteries.

Just getting one load of data and returning home again to recover the data is sub-optimal really compared to transmitting different findings from the same source across multiple steps through the entire journey, as once you transmit data your storage is cleared for gathering more research data.
