It all helps! There's nothing more annoying than googling for a solution and just finding "It's ok I fixed it" with no explanation, or just a question with no answers.

you sould install X86 version of MS Visual C++ Redist even if you using X64 platform
(you can check if you have %WinDir%\SysWOW64\msvcp120.dll )

It's the application "bitness" which determines if you need x86 or x64 versions of the redistributables, NOT the operating system.VoiD2008 wrote:you sould install X86 version of MS Visual C++ Redist even if you using X64 platform

the steam version also doesn't work for me, but I'll try again later. full folder whipes and reinstalls haven't helped yet, but they might yet???
