Windows Engine Test (Complete)

This is a cut down debug build of the engine for stress testing, It's not the full game, just large chunk of the simulation and engine code. Imps and colonists are removed. Let me know if it runs on your machine.

Tests

Does the window load?
Does the spinning globe appear?
Does it registers input? (mouse clicks)

If once you click, it gets into game. You can use:

wsad = movement.
mousewheel = zoom
alt + mouse mouse = rotate camera

Debug Controls:

j = Place rooms
h = Info mode. Click-place digging markers (on rock) / read info tips (on mouseover of objects)
k = Debug click-place objects (use v-b to scroll all objects ctrl for snap-to-grid )
u = Debug instabuild objects (gets rid of green hologram effect) .

l = regenerate world. (bugged: doesn't delete the objects from the existing world)

Escape = Exit

-/+ Keypad = Modify game time speed ().

Once the game is running

Doe the colours look right? Is the gamma OK?
Are there any obvious immediate glitches?
Does it chug? Hows the framerate? (Framerate is locked so don't be too depressed if its stuck low)
Is there sound.

Please post your system specs along with any problems you have.

Resources: Removed! I've got plenty of bugs to get fixing. ;)

Latest .exe: Removed!

You will also need the VS Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package: http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download ... px?id=5555

You can edit the config.xml to change resolution and enable fullscreen.

Please no live streaming this build. Its just so we can catch any problem configurations before releasing the alpha into the wild.

Known Bugs:

Place a lot of lights and they will start to glitch and framerate will tank. Lights work differently in the game so no need to report it.

Re: Windows Engine Test

Yeah, latest drivers.

Changing to my desktop res (1680x1050) didn't help, in or out of fullscreen.

Re: Windows Engine Test

Seems to work just fine for me Simon. Loads up, planet appears, sound plays, can scroll around - no probs.

The only potential issues are that three sides of the window are past the boundaries of my monitor (can only see the right hand edge of the window at 1680x1050), and the mouse cursor floats around with the hand. I'd imagine that this is probably due to this just being a tech test though?

Nice work so far, things are looking really nice ;)

Re: Windows Engine Test

Sorry forgot to include one of the downloads. You may need to download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. See my edits above!
