Maia Backer Alpha 0.26 release notes.

A test build for you to check out the engine and have a play with some of the functions.

Log into your account on http://members.maiagame.com to download the latest zip.

Colonist AI is currently disabled, as is room building.

wsad = movement.
mousewheel = zoom
alt + mouse mouse = rotate camera

Debug Controls:

j = Place rooms
h = Info mode. Click-place digging markers (on rock) / read info tips (on mouseover of objects)
k = Debug click-place objects (use v-b to scroll all objects ctrl for snap-to-grid )
u = Debug instabuild objects (gets rid of green hologram effect) .

l = regenerate world. (bugged: creates a small memory leak and will eventually crash the game)

Escape = Exit

-/+ Keypad = Modify game time speed ().

Please post your system specs along with any problems you have.

ATI users: Update your drivers to the newest ones from this week.

You will also need the VS Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package: http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download ... px?id=5555

You can edit the config.xml to change resolution and enable fullscreen.

Please no live streaming this build.

Members portal is 'under maintenance'.

My guess is that we DDoS'd (or otherwise overloaded) our own members portal :P.

I'll try again in a few days.

Yeah I had to take it down because PHP ran out of memory. Our web guy is coding some new systems to deliver the files better.

Build looks good, love the new snow effect.

And carving routes to the outside, and then watching a colonist make their way out plodding along the open surface of an alien planet.... *sniffles*...

Core 15 3.10GHz x4, 6gb 1333ddr3 ram, ATI HD 6770 4gb. And it works quite well with no crashes unless i spam L to reroll. 30 fps when a lots happening/is placed atm.

Looks good so far, nice to see some progress.

There is a little bit of screen flicker sometimes though and the edges of the screen have black parts?

Linux build will likely go up on Monday. :)

Mraellis: Cool thanks. Glad it works well.

On the black squares. Looks like I'm maxing out the instancing on my screen tile drawing. I'll try and get that fixed.

Game runs. But is this still FPS locked, as you mentioned for the Alpha 0.25? Just asking because I have terrible 15-20 fps and half a second mouse lag. :(

EDIT: Odd, for some reason saw the screencap from Mraellis only now, with 44 FPS, so I assume there is no cap.

My laptop is not that bad :/
