Maia Alpha Milestone Progress 0.32

Rough notes on the things going into Milestone 0.32.

Estimate delivery date: Aug 16 19.

I'll mark things that are done in Green and italic. Things delayed to next milestone are blue.

Engine/low level:
  • Loading of Pfx from XML.
  • Optimisation and temporary multithreading of the lighting code
Game:
  • More colonist movement animations and blending.
  • Death via starvation, asphyxiation, exhaustion, dehydration, hypothermia.
  • Procedural back stories for colonists.
  • Heat venting in space suits.
  • Imps carry minerals back to storage room.
  • Imps carry fossils to lab.
  • Rooms will have lights in their tiles.
  • Earthquakes, solar flares and meteor impacts will have more variety, complex sound.
  • Sound for blackout and brownout.
  • Improve the path finding CPU load.
  • Improve entity update CPU load
  • Room removal
  • Blacky the spaniel.
  • Materials Hopper.
  • Heat haze bugs and performance fixes.

Yay for heat ventilation of suits. Is there a way for them to fill up the rebreather? For example compressed oxygen/air tanks in the storage. Could potentially be a task that they need assistance with.
I know its probably very far in the future, but do you think space suits will be an item rather than a character, so people can use it like clothing?

They can go to the airlock to remove or refill suits. So they kinda are like clothing.

But what if the person dies? Your colony would be left without that suit-guy?
