Ok so they all ran off as soon as they spawned. Bug we have spaniels in.

This is one of the backer pets. Blacky the cocker spaniel. :D

Ignore their funny toes. Just fixed that. Had missed a few bones. :p

Bug fixed. Here's 128 dogs simulating in real time on my i5. :D

They are not peeing on everything, humping each other and the imps legs, digging or chewing on glowsticks. Seems legit :P

Do animals abide by the same rules of temperature, respiration, exhaustion etc.? If yes, will the player be able to monitor them, maybe via the research of an animal health monitor or something similar? If not, why not? I could guess that the additional performance drain could be a reason.

Please tell me dogs will be able to pick up an run off with the following items, at the worst possible times:

Your last flare/glowstick
An explosive mining charge about to go off (See the Australian ballad "The Loaded Dog")
A nasty xenos sample that you want to contain immediately
Radioactive material
Send in more planes!

You throw (deploy) a glowstick, doggy brings it right back to you.
