Rough notes on the things going into Milestone 0.31. Mostly things that got missed from 0.30.
Estimate delivery date: Aug 8.
I'll mark things that are done in Green and italic. Things delayed to next milestone are blue.
Engine/low level:
- Loading of Pfx from XML.
- Multi track animation.
- Stability fixes!
- f12 Screenshot timestamped file names
Game:
- Colonists research via terminal computer.
- Colonists collect water barrels from the still. (done but not entirely functioning in game)
- Colonists will relax on couches.
- AI will wait/idle for other colonists to finish using appliances (sometimes impatiently!).
- More colonist movement animations and blending. - (Seriously need to get around to getting this in)
- 3 Female head variations.
- Faster path finding.
- Patrolling with weapons.
- Procedural back stories for colonists.
- Imps carry minerals back to storage room.
- Imps carry fossils to lab.
- Rooms will have lights in their tiles.
- Reworked bulkhead door sound.
- Earthquakes, solar flares and meteor impacts will have more variety, complex sound.
- Room ambiances.
- Sound for blackout and brownout.

Will relaxation on couches be a game mechanic or just some sort of animation to show that they are currently not doing anything? I would imagine that people who are exerted would try to get a rest. People who exert themselves after a very long period of resting/idling would exert quicker and have aching muscles, decreasing their efficiency for a short time.

This is a game where people can die from exhaustion. Of course it will be a mechanic!
People who are more tired will tend towards going to bed rather than light relaxation.
